Companies usually work like this: Bigger drive better performance. Why don't you make a drive with 128GB, ~200$ or less(thats the usually rate of an expensive-performance ssd) and have rates as its big brother 480MB/s for read and 320MB/s for write. Thats more like it..

Yeah and it will... companies need money now more than ever and where to get it other than from fools that overpay for computer parts. nvidia seems to be doing just fine because of them.

[censored]ING SLOBBER! but still not worth the prices, they should focus on shrinking the process as quick as possible to reduce cost. On a completely different note, this story isn't on Fudzilla but did anyone hear about Samsung developing the worlds first DDR4 memory chips? 30nm process, 1.2v, 40% less power usage over DDR3, operates at 2133MHz, hope to god it doesn't become another DDR3 in terms of intro prices

I simply don;t understand why they totally ignore the owners of older laptops with IDE interface. Just make a drive capable of 150MB/s read and 100MB/s write (that shouldn't be too expensive) and there will be tens of thousands of customers that want to upgrade their laptops. I have laptop that I will never throw away like my TabletPC Fujitsu Stylistic and I would just love to get an SSD in there. I've replaced the original 6GB HDD with a 40GB one but I'd just love a 80GB SSD with 70 MB/s read and 60 MB/s write . The access time would be great for my toy.

Pretty nice. But IMO, when it comes to SSDs, bringing the price down is a lot more important than bringing the speed up. I would be perfectly happy if there isn't a drastic performance increase for a year or two, but the prices come down.
