Not sure why that coment got negged lol. Read here.. Quote from tech power up "AMD's new Radeon HD 6900 series is a disappointment to users who expected HD 5970 or GTX 580 performance levels from the new series..." "With performance comparable to GeForce GTX 570, but a price that is $50 higher it is difficult to justify the investment."

Looks like im keeping my GTX 570 :) HD 6970 is only faster than GTX 570 by a few fps in a couple of benchmarks, GTX 570 beats it everywhere else, and costs £30 less while using only 2 x 6 pin connectors (Less Power) HD 6970 has 1x6 pin and 1x8 pin and in reviews is said to very power hungry for its performance level. Nvidia won this round, They have the two top best cards and GTX 570 is still cheaper and faster overall than AMD top's current card..

The GTX 570 was a fairly good deal, so it is not surprising AMD is being so aggressive with their pricing since they have had plenty of time to tweak things once NVIDIA's hand for this round was out in the open. It'd be interesting to know which company gets better margins, Fermi is already a yield nightmare as it is (plus the more expensive cooling solution), and the new AMD parts are bigger than the HD 5x00 and have twice the frame buffer.
