. . . . . Ah yes, obviously the Tegra 2 is superior. The dual cpu could have some say in this though. I never did a direct comparison with the Tegra 2 as a whole anyway. I just stated a fact of the Hummingbird's gpu. My direct comparison was with the Snapdragon, which is a direct rival SOC. Still, for a much hyped dual core next gen SOC, 20% better performance doesn't even begin to cut it. Interesting benches on this vid though. Thanks! ;)

Thanks for your feedback as well. Your opinion is very well accepted, but still, you may want to watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alRBpOE-N5g#t=4m35s In case you are wondering what this is, it's an Acer Stream vs a Galaxy S, on Qualcomm's Neo Core benchmark. Please note, that the Acer Stream features a Snapdragon at 1Ghz, which is not some insignificant mobile soc. As you can see, the Galaxy S managed a 215% performance of the Stream. I do know that the Snapdragon has nothing to do with PowerVR, but still, 217% on Qualcomm's OWN benchmark, should show something about the Hummingbird being SGX 540 powered, no?

Idiot ! Samsung Galaxy S and Nexus S both have VR SGX 540 GPU which is capable of 90 billion triangles ! Not 28 ! Which means that Galaxy S GPU is more powerful than Tegra 2 also !!

First of all Fudo, bloody PROOFREAD your 'articles' before posting them. Secondly, the earlier commenter is correct about the 3D performance of the Galaxy S. The LG Star loses to the Galaxy S in 3D graphics benchmarks. Where Tegra delivers some power is the CPU. Power being the appropriate word, as it draws too much of it and the battery life will suck. It'll suck bad. The main problem of course is that Android just can't compete with iOS in the software stakes. Apple can do so much more with less power. A bit like AMD, really.

Uhm, the Wikipedia figure appears to be based based on this article: http://androidandme.com/2010/03/news/samsung-galaxy-s-hummingbird-chip-to-have-3x-gpu-power-of-snapdragon/ ...which was largely discredited by a bunch of people who read and commented it and referenced pretty good sources. In any case thanks for your feedback

CORRECTION! The Galaxy S has a PowerVR SGX 540 inside, which delivers 90 million triangles. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galaxy_S Come on. This is basic stuff. Do the readers have to correct the journalist's posts for mobile devices as well?
