You haven't watched enough hardware launches. I guarantee someone will break the NDA tomorrow afternoon. Bear in mind timezones as well since it will be launched earlier in the USA. I'm expecting a review tomorrow. That's less than 24 hours, not 2 days.

Also there are certain cases that 6970 scores really well. For example computemark score was increased by 90% in comparsion with 5870. That shows that 6970 will offer very solid performance in gpgpu applications. 2 days remaining... I wish that a review site breaks the NDA to give us a serious and a complete review.

6970 is not faster than GTX 580 it is because it is designed to be faster than GTX 480. 6970 was designed long before GTX 580 went on market.

I completely agree as I only posted what is discussed at the other forums. What I expect and makes more sence is 6950 ~= 5870 + 15% and 6970 ~= 5870 + 40%.

Thats the point... Those numbers that the other sites are pushing don't make sense... way too low. We have already seen a nice performance increase... 5850 vs 6870... lower sp higher performance... and near perfect scaling... interesting leak that tells a different story... take with salt... http://hw-lab.com/detail-about-radeon-hd-6970-3dmark-11-result.html

see thats weird because the hd6870 already fills that spot. and the hd6950 is 600million transistors bigger then the 5870 instead of the 500million transistors smaller of the hd6870. so...unless that 1.1billion transistors doesnt do a thing for performance, you are WAAAAAAY of the mark.

I think it was overclockers.net, and xtremesystems forums. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=261195&page=107 You can also search with google... Those claims are based on low 3d mark 11 score and crysis score. Although nothing is menthioned about the strange switch, power draw and posible use of old drivers. Let me summarize what I have read: 6970 cannot beat 570 in 3d mark 11 therefore cannot beat 480 in games cause 570 ~= 480 so 6970 = 5870 + 15% and 6950 = 6970 - 20% so 6950 ~= 5870 - 5% which is 6870 performance.
