160gbps must be probably a error , because they haven't finalized the card yet ... and also , there are yield issues .

I saw the leaked slides but i still don't understand why the small (minimal, tbh) increase in bandwidth to 160 Gbps. The only situation that would prevent me from comparing the HD 5870's and 6970's bandwidth and calculate performance based on that value is if the arhitecture is extremely different. For example Fermi products with lower bandwidth can outperform ATI products with higher bandwidth due to the different arhitecture. Still waiting for reviews....

He is incorrect. Crossfire is most definitely not a shared memory set up. The Crossfire interconnect does not give one GPU access to another GPU's RAM. The AMD CAL docs are very clear on this point.

Gainward, I mostly think your posts are reasoned and thoughtful and informative. So please do not go away! But... to complain about being voted down on Fudzilla? This is a very very partisan place (and that's one of the fun things about it IMHO). I got voted down for explaining some of the diff btwn GTX480 and C2050 (like, WTH? lol! ;-), but I took it in stride - so should you.

Here are some slides from Oct that show TBD or > instead of actal/fixed numbers: http://www.arabhardware.net/forum/showpost.php?p=1646720&postcount=1523 Begs the question if the numbers from the Nov slides were pulled out of someone's ass! @DJDestiny,Mich aelTurbo, prod I'm also inclined say each GPU will have its own 2GB, and that's how it's usually the case with Crossfire.

It's been the case for each generation's variant of dual gpu card. If such were otherwise true, my 5970 would be manumit it's only serious design limitation; running out of pcb memory when enabling maximum 24x edge-detect (as an example) on high resolution displays.
