m i the only one who is confused. sub title says the card is 500. then goes on to say that it is better than 5570. but then it says Llano is slightly better than 500 and 520. so now i will check the link for what was actually said. but u could have just provided the link and not a confusing article @freaq:. we come coz the news is there. just that the reporting skills are absent

AMD is not Intel, they simply do not employ enough people to have a full release of all series at once. If you have not noticed AMD are still pairing RV7xx series IGP's with their newer 880 motherboards. I am guessing AMD has at least used the engineering of the HD6xxx in this particular mid-2011 release. AMD would have to take giant leaps to have their motherboard IGPs releases coincide with their HD7xxx Q4 next year, and that's motherboard IGP; we are considering a monolithic CPU/IGP.

This is not bad at all for integrated graphics. But by the time 2011 arrives it will be too slow IMO. Perhaps they will release something in line of HD 6550 or something. Either way, good job AMD now show us some hardware.

Can't make up your mind, eh? Edit: yeah, yeah! I've noticed Fuad making proper AMD articles... but what's the catch? There's always one! Nope, few words are few words, not a lot. Logic. As for the VP's presentation, he was pointing out only the GPU side of the APU. Well, not that I don't agree, 500 GFLOPs is a lot, but as I recall, Windows, Linux et all still run on CPU. We already knew that the GPU would be an Evergreen, i.e. great, but the CPU? Fuad says improved K8, other say improved Stars. Well? I need to know!

A 5570 can play Crysis well (~50fps) at 1024x768. Most laptop screens below 15" are this resolution so it seems to me that this thing is not just good but pretty much perfect and even if it wasn't Llano graphics are still 40nm... Who knows how much this will increase when at 28nm.
