I just can't see how anybody can buy an AMD part, they're $h!tty. :-x Honestly I can't. They're chips suck, the cards are weak and devoid of features. I just picked up a lowly Nvidia GT 240 for a HTPC build, and that thing has more features going for it than a 5000 series card! Its a joke! Well at least on AMD :-)

The HardwareCanucks review showed the HD 5570 as being equally as fast as GT 430, beating it in some tests and losing in others, all by a tiny margin. In the majority of tests the difference was less than 2FPS, which is within the kind of variability you get if you run the same test multiple times. The CPU tests are similar, showing 1-2% differences on a modern CPU. The reality is that this card just isn't even as good as an R5570, when you take into account the poor image quality. All it's good for is BluRay 3D.

"However, the GT430 ends up somewhat slower than AMD’s HD5570/HD5670 boards..." Well somehow, HardwareCanucks tested the 430 vs the 5570 and the 430 won almost every test, from games to movies to accelerated flash and browsing. The real questions everyone missed were, who is the writers source of these results? and why are they comparing the 430 to two cards in two different classes in the same series (55xx and 56xx)? Going by one article is foolish at best. That's why i have 15 tech sites bookmarked.

well well what do we have here? After all that Discussions and BS going on about how GT 430 was going to suddenly THREATEN AMD's business in the entry level. This is for you people, this card is an EPIC failure. And what 5W less? Seriously i'll rather give up the 5 watts for the extra bit of performance since it is not such a big deal. I just dont know how did NV manage to pull so much BS publicity for this card as if it is the next big thing in the world. And that too its for now. When the next gen AMD cards 6xxx series release, NVidiots will have a hard time finding these cards in the garbage piles.... 8)
