They probably did. What you fail to understand is there aren't any 8 or 12 core CPUs with built in GPU that exist now, making your argument quite pointless.

A die-shrink perhaps? They are going 32nm BTW! We need to see what AMD makes out of their APUs as a general product, then judge them based on 100MHz speed bumps. Also I would not rush into BD right away, since the CPU is only a part of the system and improvements will also be made on the chipset side based on their first chipset release for BD. I would hold out at least till late 2012 to get the best out of the new platform when the second chipset family will show up.

I was thinking that my next build would be Bulldozer-based in Q1 2012, but with all the slippage at AMD, I'm losing faith. A long 2011 in sight for AMD. Bumping Athlon II and Phenom II core speed by 100 MHz each quarter is simply not enough to face Sandy Bridge.

AMD!!! *head-shaking* ... another screw up. Such a shame for ATI that they now belong to this company of incompetent loosers. ATI would be much better off without AMD.

Whenever AMD seems to have a nice design or the upper hand (performance wise), they always messes up the whole momentum with screw-ups like these. It's ALWAYS the d@mn manufacturing process, always. Let's just hope its a rant from fudo, even though he would gladly like such scenario to become true. How sick. :-|

I realized it when the "reality" of an AMD product, apparently, depended on what NVIDIA's PR department had to say about it. Seriously, what's with the NV fixation? Even when talking about an AMD CPU the big green name has to be mentioned.
