on that i have to agree, but you cant blame the shift of generation to be console kiddies, but at the end.. the pc will conquer all consoles.. i mean.. even tough an xbox is super duper awesome and what more.. these guys are running shit on dx9 (b/c) for any future games, they have no choise but to develop them on dx11, not only because its far superior, but also because "future" consoles, will no doubt have that too.. in the meanwhile, companies are back at the pcs for the latest tech.. thats the problem of a console and it allways will be

As a pc gamer the only thing that concerns me is the volume and quality of games we see, we are missing big franchises that once upon a time we could enjoy, you make a point regarding unreal engine, but honestly is that really a good thing, a continuous flow of games using a dated engine that is great for churning out console games but doesnt take advantage of pc hardware? of course they went for the money who wouldnt? well maybe then i am just speaking out of frustration that pc just wasnt profitable enough for them to bother with anymore.

fact is, epic, and unreal are responsible for the engines behind the majority of big hit games of this decade, call it whatever you want, but even tough the company is not actively making huge pc hits right now, they are involved in many others, i think for that part, if you want to bitch at a company, focus at EA, these guys just buy companies and rape them, epic will ofc go for the money, it would be a sign of bad management if they didnt, if the big money is on consoles, why spend millions on developping titles for the pc, when you can just port a console game to the pc, yes you lose minor quality, but why waste cash on that when you can get profits instead

@Morse Some more w(h)ine please. Seriously dude, you sound like you have issues. Epic has tried very hard to push UT3, free weekends, one GIANT adding patch, Steam support, lowering the price. They brought out a superior version of GoW1 on the PC and the reason they have not to bring out GoW2 or 3 on the PC is the low sale numbers of the first one (which may or may not be the result of piracy)

'Epic has long-time roots in the PC gaming space' yeah, until they dumped pc for 360 land. Pc gamers made them what they are then they sell out. The name epic is pure dirt on PC.
