nvidia doesn't have anything to respond HD6000. There is no "kicker". Perhaps next summer they have something to show. But then AMD already can kick nvidia in the nuts with new plans.

Any fermi GF100 is broken. If they released 460 from the start they would be much much better off as people now have a very negative bias towards them from all the cards before GF104 was released. I was saying before they need to come up with a modified design on 40nm since that's what everyone is stuck with for now and they really shouldn't just wait around for 28nm to be ready if they wanna stay in the game, hopefully they found a way to optimize the cards power/consumption better so they can release faster GF104 chip. The GPU world needs Nvidia even if you love only AMD cards you should still remember that and hope they make a competitive comeback. Just like Intel needs AMD. No competition means we the consumers get screwed, very very screwed.

fermi is not broken, its not where its supposed to be, but for a compute targetting card it does the job.

GF104 is the Gaming architecture, GF100 is the Compute architecture. GF110 will be based on the idea's that lead to the creation of GF104 * 1.5 at the least. the 6870 barely, overtakes a 480 clocked at 810mhz, so if GF110 can better that then it can keep on par with the 6870.

I dont see how Nvidia can improve the current high end line. They might be able to release a card with higher clocks but as we've just seen in another article, the liquid cooled GTX480 something something BEAST. Which has a massive over clock on the shaders, still doesn't manage to make much of an impact. I guess Nvidia has to sit this one out once again and hope Kepler will be a big thing.

Well they obviously haven't made a new chip, a 512 core version would still take too much power and make too much heat, my guess is they will release a new card based on the GF104 with the whole chip enabled and increased clock speeds as there is so much headroom there, perhaps also a dual gpu version.

Can all the fan boys go away from this website please? Yes, nvidia has used dirty tactics, ati/amd/any other company hasn't? Yes nvidia has had better products, and so has ati. And this continues for every other fact about these 2 companies. I feel like 15 year old children have invaded the internet overnight, who are too brain dead to understand brainwashing concepts. Here's a hunt: YOU'VE ALL BEEN HAD... all for money. Deal with it, and think for yourself.
