. Wow. Guess the Steam Platform was a anamoly. Some tard on another forum is flaming me because I said something bad(?) about Treyarch vs IW. Guy even says "Treyarch did better MP server support than IW" To which, I stared blankly into the heavens to think of how to counter that. Best I leave subjects like that to the more informed lol. .

The lack of people playing BC2 has nothing to do with the servers. The biggest issue is the lack of new content. People are just sick of the maps. There are a host of other small issues that just add up to people being frustrated and leaving.

The benefits they claim are always crap. Without the model the same benefits would exist; this just gives them more control over the game and what players can do with it. BFBC2 is certainly not doing great on the PC (no staying power) with the way it works. At least from seeing the number of empty servers.

Actually the title means: "In order to have dedicated servers, SACRIFICE PC PLAYERS! MWUAhahahaha."

First of all, the title of the article is misleading. You make it sound like either A) paying for dedicated servers is sometthing new, it's not or B) that they are somehow expense...which as you noted in the article they're not. Second, this news didn't break today. We knew this information almost two weeks ago. The mp reveal with Sept 1st and then over the next couple of days the situation with GS.com was detailed. FYI, the max player counts are not final. That information is per treyarch.
