For a developer (like myself) ATIs SDKs and drivers are a pain in the ass. They are full of bugs (just have a look at their support forums). Sure - the user doesn't know about this. And is not even interested in the pain we developers have with ATIs crapware.

I don't know about the SDK and OpenCL, but what problem do you have with the drivers? They have always worked well for me, ever since I got my first ATI card years ago.

The problem with ATI is (and has been the last few years): Their hardware is great - their software SUCKS! PLEASE, ATI, can't you spare a few more developers to fix your crapware SDK2.2? Your OpenCL implementation? Your drivers? I am seriously not a NVidia Fanboy - but the green guys simple get this shit done!

Cards like these are what really makes me like AMD/ATI. See, all else being the same, I'd prefer an nvidia card simply because ati drivers have their issues. Unfortunately all else wasn't the same, resulting in me buying 2 5970s. But, off topic. My point is, nvidia isn't really a champ of power consumption and heat at the moment, and as such, their low end cards just don't fit the bill. My HTPC has one PCI-E slot, surrounded by other PCI slots that are already occupied. So, ideally I would want a single slot card. Now, for an htpc, I wouldn't want an extra loud fan, and would prefer passive. So, for a single slot, passive card, AMD/ATI really is the best, and for the most part only choice. Gotta love these little cards. Keep it up AMD/ATI.

I notice this time they have the AMD logo burnt onto the GPU, the HD 5000 chips had ATI, I guess my prediction of the HD 6000 being the last ATI cards was a load of crap, but for a card as low end and as small as this one, looking at the specs it looks fairly OK for some casual online gaming (MW2, BC2 etc)
