Is it? :) By 'older' you mean 5000 years old? if you want to make new stuff look better then compare it to current stuff, not something made from the parts made 5-10 years ago. Jack what prices? Ontario is designed for low power, low cost systems. Jack up the prices and you won't sell anything. ASUS is the only netbook maker offering geode based products. If everyone released something as unattractive as Eee PC 1201K, then yeah, everyone is preparing themselves for some future mediocre parts from AMD. But this time AMD parts will not need any help from artificial price jacking as even todays athlon neos will look like childs toy compared to Ontario based stuff. Useless products, not useless rant.

You don't need to prove anything with Ontario. In my opinion Ontario is the only thing from next year which I believe is already success story for certain. Even if you put Ontario based Netbook with todays AMD low power notebooks, Ontario will look amazing in power/performance,pow er usage, battery life and size. You don't need geode to show how great Ontario is going to be.

Usually, that's how they make a new product stand out from the "older" product. This is done to prove to customers how good Ontario will be compared to their last AMD products, and this all is done to jack up prices, nothing more.

They are joking, right? Just few months before Ontario hits the market and they are releasing product which is based on stone age architecture. So what next? Some socket A ASUS motherboards?
