Well I already have a dual core Atom CPU in my Asus EeePC 1201n (ION) since quite some time now... Yes of course that this config is not supposed to be "netbook" but dual core Atom for netbooks are already available before today... (of course higher wattage...)

If they make a version that is supported by mini ITX boards and supports HDMI video and audio, I might have to pick one up. Just waiting to see who comes up with the best low wattage hptc fusion or sandybridge. Who knows, the next generation of Atom might support full HDMI specs.

atom has to be the most pathetic cpu i ever came across.even for battery life lovers, there is the AMD Athlon X2 L310.1.2GHz clock speed, but dual core, so the equivalent of a 3.0GHz Pentium IV cpu/

The interesting thing is that that new design let's amd to make extremely small chip which has 90% of todays mainstream AMD chips performance, and from the 1st boinc numbers it looks like it is eating Atom alive and with dx11 demo few months back it is very impressive chip.

Ontario isn't based on K10.5+ (or K10.6 if you will), that would be Llano. Ontario is based on the new Bobcat core. Of course, it will support DX11 anyway.

and he is adding some stuff which is completely false :) Fuad, Ontario IS DX11 compatible. Where were you when AMD showed Ontario platform running AVP demo in DX 11 mode? At the moment Ontario is much more exciting than Llano and BD itself. Atom will be kicked left and right, and OEM who are not putting anything Ontario based are complete idiots or paid by intel.
