I always like to point out that there are quite a large number of us who have joined Facebook simply to get our significant others to stop bitching at us to do so or to simply play a game like Evony or Mafia Wars or only to keep in touch. I think that throughout my entire 3 year experience with Facebook, I have updated my status twice. Before I started playing Evony with a few friends recently, I never logged in more than once every two months and I have yet to update any pictures beyond the 10 I originally uploaded nearly 3 years ago. Just because we're on Facebook doesn't mean we care about it.

That is what Facebook is for to inflate ones ego while continuing a futile attempt to further their fading popularity. Society these days is psychopathic in nature leading to many woeful problems that could have been avoided in a moral society but instead in some place we got body bags to show for it.

Taking a sample of people who are already narcissistic and observing their facebook behaviour in no way implies that facebook made them that way. This is completely backwards. The main reason most people seem to use Facebook today is that it is so widespread you are shooting yourself in the foot if you don't. People frequently ask for Facebook as contact information. When I run into people that I haven't seen in years, they don't ask for my phone number they ask for my Facebook. Hence shirts such as "No I am not on F*!#ing Facebook"
