They are using the basic ideas of the K8 plus actual improvements in the Llano with Bobcat And will go an new way like intel went it when going from Netburst to the core-architecture - please correct me but i meaned that i red that the atom isn´t core2-archi, it is older. But how we can see in the presentations Bulldozer will be optimized in multiple thread throughput on a newly worked-out basic.

I didn't expect this from Fuad, though it would be almost impossible to increment to 32nm from K8's 90/65nm design process I like the way Rick Meritt of EETimes puts it "Llano will use neither Bobcat nor Bulldozer but an enhanced version of an existing 45nm x86 core moved to a 32nm process." which, to me is a more responsible 2nd hand commentary. Just as a note I have always been with intel, but even though they are faster and maybe better processors that AMD's overall simplicity and integration is impressive and that I sometimes just have a better Windows experience with AMD.

@"Jurassic1024" dude 4yrs ago when c2d was realeased, do u know what core it was based on....it was a modified core. dix ur mummy never tell u old is gold. bad boy. pay attention to what she say! n i have also told in this site that intel provide meanless performance at the price which requires me to sell my kidney. so who gives a rats ass about ur performance crown. amd provides a good performance/price n provide adiquite power to do anthing. so u see their situation improving over the years dispite its "inferior tech". on the other hand when intel was down, what sid they do...o right, they bought benchmark n oem with money

Do we need to remind you that this will be the third time that AMD tries to make Fusion work, just remember the original Fusion and later Swift cores that mysteriously disappeared form AMD's roadmaps. Fusion was promised back in 2006 and it still hasn't arrived. Nuff said.

Seriously? You honestly confuse truth with fanboyism? Sorry, i'm not a cheapskate fighting for outdated architectures. Enjoy your tweaked 6000 series cards too. BTW child, i'm running Vapor-X 5770's in Crossfire. So you're attack is a fail like the rest of the people that comment here. lol

Don't forget K 10.5 also. I don't know what sites you been reading, but when you start with K8, then tweak it and call it K10/10.5, and still getting beat by Core 2 Quads, then yea, you effed up and what you got is a 6 year old design. I've said it numerous times here on this site already. AMD don't have nothing to take any performance/design crowns. when they do, then i'll go back to AMD, cuz i want the best, and AMD is not it, and hasnt been for a very long time.

You people need to stop pointing out that K10 is based on K8. It doesn't matter! If you state in an article/press release that it will use K8, then that statement implies it will use the Brisbane core (which Alexko, isn't Stars) and not an update of it. Period! The K10h might be an update, but it it still K10 and not 8! It's a word play... nothing more... and in fufy's case he has found something to bash AMD with. @jurassic, stf and go to your nvidiot hiding-place! We don't need another... what was he called again, you know that kid that got banned?

I'm laughing so hard right now at all the fanboy comments. AMD in trouble again?! Oh, that's not news, it's just AMD being AMD. This is why i went with the winning team when conroe came out. prior to that i had the 2600+ Barton, then the 3700+ San Diego. Hardware isn't the same as sports teams. It's okay to switch... trust me. Well at least AMD can't and won't charge you gimps an arm and a leg for their slower CPU's (AND GPU's) that they've been putting out since 2003. At least the DAMMIT fanboys on this site aren't as bad as the Linux fanboys... if that's really a plus.

Honestly, Fudo needs to lay off the Kool-aid. Currently, Fusion consists of three designs, of which the two are brand new. Bobcat, intended for use in low-power devices such as netbooks and nettops, although AMD has stated low-power servers are also design goals. ETA: Q4 2010/Q1 2011. Bulldozer, intended for high-end servers and desktops. Bulldozer should arrive sometime in 2011, most likely late Q2/early Q3 2011. And then there's Llano, based off K8/K10 with an integrated (GP)GPU core and intended for low-end/mid-range notebook and desktop market. ETA: sometime 2011, most likely *after* "Bulldozer". To say Llano goes up against Sandy Bridge amounts to comparing a P3-based Celeron to an Opteron. That's *clearly* a task for Bulldozer.
