they put just as many mission on each game. just as much story, that means instead of a cramped up story you won't remember or care about they are working on a quality storyline. you still get upgraded b.net to play any race you want. all i see are benefits. to the game that is... i dont like activision but seems like blizzard gets to keeps to do things its own way. I really believe this is how they intended starcraft II

It's all 'bout the Benjamins baby, as one (not so) wise man once said :) It's happening all around - technology has literally come to a standstill because companies realized that there's much more money to make by taking advances reeally, reeeeeaaaallly slow.

Agreed, when you buy Starcraft II you are only getting one third of the game. Sure you may be able to play other races but you only get the terran campaign. Also the game is $60...so presuming the other two campaigns cost the same the game (minus expansion packs) will cost a total of $180 versus the typical $50 debut price for most other highly anticipated titles. The way they work might not have changed though the policies clearly have. I've been psyched about Diablo III and the merger has me worried about what BS Activision might troll that potentially awesome game with.

That is just total bs, look at SC2. Unlike sc/wc3 you get just a single race campaign so basically an unfinished product. bear in mind I am not one of these insane cynics that expects everything for free, i have my ce copy of sc2 and am loving every minute, but once upon a time that would never have happened. Blizzard games used to be the pinnacle of high end gaming produce with no expense spared providing a total and detailed product, now they are clearly more influenced by maximising monetary gain. This is fair enough I am not saying Blizzard are the devil etc.... they have still made a game far beyond the typical standard of other developers and are entitled to profit from their hard work, but are they the company that they once were? hell no
