Catalyst 10.5 and 10.6 are destroying ati fanboy installs by the millions. That's why anandtech is still using 10.3a, while their reviewers claim " it's the same as the latest catalyst", no difference... and the ati raging fabois shriek unfair...LOL Another sad, sad cover up for ati... 10.7 was "tweeted" then deleted, and now the red roosters are all screaming... Beware, ATI/AMD can't make drivers that aren't awash with problems to this very day. Check Tom's, now we find out Catalyst fights with MSFT update since 10.2 Good luck red roosters, 10.5 and 10.6 are UTTERLY BROKEN. Hint for the raging red roosters : USE CAT 10.3a ONLY. Good luck cluckers.

We don't sign NDAs. Ever. It's company policy... Or maybe we should start doing what companies want? That would sure make for some great journalism, or spin... :D Perhaps we could accept some cash while we're at it, and spread the Nvidia/ATI/Intel/AMD gospel like TV evangelists... :-* No, I don't think so. There are plenty of fanboy sites around, so I guess we'll just carry on...

I remember reading that Fuad got kicked off USS Hornet at the ATI 5000 series unveiling party for not signing NDA. He's been waging his petty war of words against ATI ever since. If u sleep with the dogs u wake up w/ the fleas is all I gotta say about that

Its not going to be much faster and there would be minimal power savings from the 5000 series. It will probably hold the lead over Nvidia GTX 480 for a while, until Nvidia introduces either the GTX 485 or actually name it GTX 500 series. Well hopefully it will be great for us the consumers and leads to much lower prices!

And it is not. The new generation's name is Northern Islands. While Southern Islands is a mix of parts from NI and parts from Evergreen. There's nothing wrong with that as long as people don't confuse HD xxxx designations with their family's name.

Yes I agree to nagib, Faud is up to something. ATI has already announced that it will never use new generation name just for tweaked versions of card since it is like renaming just like Nvidia did.

"Quoting what jurassic said at the top of the page" Is that because you then won't have to see your beloved Nvidia being bashed and proven wrong on a daily basis by the readers? and nothing's the same on all websites, sites like this are bias against AMD/ATI, others are bias for whilst the rest are neutral on the subject. Oh, and btw, not to sound big headed but I don't think I'm an expert, I know I am. I've a national diploma in media studies and can clearly pinpoint out with ease the various forms of bias that often occur in the media, whether it be newspapers, TV, radio or internet, but even then you don't need an education to see that someone is up the arse of a favoured company.

Damn you guys have been busy. 1. The comment section is here to stay. Getting positive and negative feedback is what comments are all about, so you can say all you want, as long as you keep it polite, barely... 2. As for allegations of bias... You can just go back to 2007 and see what we were saying about ATI, when it was the underdog. We like competition and for some strange reason we think it's a good idea to have a few companies battling it out with competitive products... Anyone who does not share this belief probably gets a monthly paycheck from one of the companies involved. 3. Speaking of paychecks, Fudzilla does not receive any cash from Intel, Nvidia or AMD. It's a matter of public record. We've survived 3+ years stepping on their toes and we have never signed a single NDA, let alone some back-door payola deal. You can choose not to believe me, in the same way you can choose to believe alien abduction reports and Area 51 nonsense. 4. Enjoy the new site and keep your comments coming. ;-)

unfortunately before 28nm ATI is going to offer minor improvement, and Nvidia will have tweaked GF104, Fermi 1.5 so to say. 28nm is 2011 and before that simply don't expect any miracles. regarding this http://www.fudzilla.com/graphics/graphics/graphics/ati-next-generation-is-codenamed-hecatoncheires well, it looks like that after all, this will be a minor tweak as 28nm is the time for the new stuff.
