I had no problem seeing 3D before the recent burst of 3D movies such as Avatar. When I went to Singapore, we watched "Pirates" in "4D" with Leslie Nielsen and Eric Idle, and I could see the 3D very well. When I went to see Avatar a couple of years later, I could barely notice the 3D at all. Both used polarised glasses. All the glasses did for me in Avatar was let me view an otherwise blurry picture. I just really hope that they don't stop doing 2D movies in the future, or I won't be able to go to the Cinema at all.

I do believe they are making 3D Sets that you dont need glasses. And Nintendo already proposed a "3DS" where you dont need glasses. I am still waiting on Sharp and there quattron HDTV's. I really do think those will be a hit. 3D is a really amazing technological invention though.

well the world doesn't revolve around us brits, I can see 3D just fine but I'm not particularly bothered about 3DTV, it just seems like a phase that we'll grow out of eventually, can't stand having to wear £100 glasses just to watch telly

"But it could mean that all the new gear from outfits such as Nintendo, Sony and Samsung, who are planning to launch a number of 3D products over the coming year, may be unsuitable for a large portion of potential customers." The 3DS incorperates a slider to remove the 3D effect at will, allowing people to enjoy the system who can't handle intensive 3D. Nintendo seems to have been well aware of this problem if you ask me.
