@shawn_bowen, they will still function as separate entities... pretty much like a CPU+IGP functions today. Nvidia won't kiss x86 licenses until it learns to play nicely. @Fudo, one of them is based on Phenom, more precisely Thuban, and the other one, the 40nm bulk, on Bobcat.

My understanding is that if AMD and Intel incorporate the GPU directly inside the CPU it will be considered ant-trust and the US State department will force intel to give Nvidia an x86 license. What is everyones views on this?

Fusion is going to aim for embedded, notebooks, all in one systems, the possibilities are numerous. It also comptes with Clarkdale and Arrandale in Desktop and Mobile space, at least we hope so. S0 nice to talk to you guys :) hear what you want to hear / thinking about stuff there are plenty of use for Llano system. CPU is Phenom based as AMD doesn't want to risk with bulldozer, to many things can go wrong. Bulldozer is for Llano 2 version :)

Llano should be huge in the HTPC market, which has great potential for expansion. HTPC = netflix streaming, free DVR service(with unlimited storage), music jukebox, DVD backup, and HULU on your home theater. The Llano should also allow moderate gaming on the big screen.

I'm going to be first in line for the Llano so long as they don't screw up HDMI audio like they did with the 785g chipset. Should be the perfect upgrade from my athlon II/785G home theater PC. I'm a big AMD fanboy and hope they don't make the HDMI audio screw up and force me to sandybridge. Thank goodness for having parents to dump the old hardware off onto. :)

"... other sources are implying that the CPU core will end up very similar to existing Phenom K10.5 cores." Haven`t they started working on the Bulldozer architecture a long time ago? Why are the cores very similar to K10.5?
