Computex 2024: Upgradability as a focus

ADATA brought a rather unique prototype of a handheld gaming console to the Computex 2024 show, which focuses on upgradability and has some other rather unique features. Called XPG Nia, the device is still in its early prototype stages, but so far, it looks pretty good.

ZOTAC has teased its upcoming products for the Computex 2024 show which officially kicks off on June 4th, including a gaming handheld, new mini PCs, and graphics cards.

A larger battery, standard M.2 slot, and fixed microSD slot  

The Asus ROG Ally X handheld console is set to be unveiled on June 2, and the fresh report from a well-known Asus leaker suggests that Asus is also squeezing a bit more RAM in the new ROG Ally X, equipping it with 24GB.

Want a piece of that market

Nvidia and Mediatek are allegedly working on a brand new SoC for handheld and other gaming consoles, and have quite a few clients already lined up. Nvidia is no stranger to such SoCs, and it has recently teamed up with Mediatek for mobile chips that could use next-gen RTX and AI GPU IP based on the upcoming Blackwell architecture.

Asus has finally revealed a bit more details about the upcoming ROG Ally handheld console update that was rumored earlier, revealing it will be a bit more than just a minor update but rather a redesigned console with the same APU and the same screen, but more RAM, larger M.2 slot, and a larger battery.

Asus is apparently already working on an updated Asus ROG Ally 2024 handheld console that could show up at the upcoming Computex show.
